The museum collections in Sweden hold thousands of various pictures taken in Gamla Uppsala. There are drawings, cadastral and other historical maps, paintings and photographs showing different parts of Gamla Uppsala from the late 17th century and onward. These pictures deserve to be presented to a wider audience. During 2012-2013 has GUAM through the Uppland Museum so far digitized nearly 2,000 pictures. The photographs were taken at archaeological excavations conducted by Uppsala University during the 20th century.
